I tried my best (tho not perfect) for the vocals, illustrations, and animations T//T This song does not fit my voice so I had to work extra hard to keep up the idol / pop energy! I think I rerecorded some sections 3 times due to how soft it initially sounded ^^; I also pushed myself to work on some animation (though I referenced each frame from the original).. and it is a LOT of work! :O This was supposed to be my November cover but has been delayed due to the amount of illust work on my end. Despite the amount of work, I wanted to cover this song because it features Ai and her children. For 2022 (technically 2023!) my big project was VIOLET, featuring my Moon OCs Coffee and Cream. This time I decided to introduce my Sun OCs Hana and Rin. They are twin magical girl OCs with plant and fire affinities, respectively. Back many years ago during middle school, Rin was my most loved and popular OC.. she was inspired by numerous tsundere characters during the time like Shana, Taiga, and Louise. She was created to be the main rival of Sora. Hana, on the other hand, is a frail but mentally strong flower girl and was meant to be the mentor for Sora. However life goes on and at some point, I drew my own children (OCs) less and less despite continuing on as a hobby artist. With the introduction of Merch Club, shifting a 50:50 OC:fanart ratio, and introducing Rin again, I figured it was a perfect time to show that I truly love my own characters after neglecting them for so long with this IDOL cover. Special thanks to the staff I directly worked with (all but harm guide) for everyone’s speedy and quality work. Especially Migi for the hard work and professionalism for this complicated MV.
