Welcome AFV fans. Join me on a tour of the 1/35 scale model 234/2 Puma. Germany's iconic reconnaissance vehicle of WW2. The 'Puma' was undoubtedly the best armoured car of WW2; well protected for its role as a recon vehicle, highly mobile and heavily armed, but its late introduction into service when the tides of war had swung against Germany, and the modest production totals of all variants ensured that this magnificent fighting vehicle never really fulfilled its conceptual promise. Fitted with the superb 50 mm L/60 cannon, it was hard to stop a crew engaging in combat, rather than scouting. The vehicle Had 2 driving positions as it had the same speed and manoeuvrability in reverse as it did forward. Fitted with 8 independently powered and steered wheels it sported 'bulletproof tyres' and a 1st for smoke dischargers An very advance design that was years ahead of its time it was studied by the allies after the war and many of its features were adopted in their future designs. The Kit from Dragon was a real pleasure to build. It has a few slight flaws with fit and instructions (like at least 5 times it was telling the left went on the right and visa versa (Typical Dragon, you always need to see for yourself before committing to what the instructions tell you). One thing it should win hands down is the detail ( I can actually see a raised impression of a keyhole on the side pannier padlocks.) The engine vents are nice and thin to scale, the wheels are incredible. I could go on the list is endless. Anyway I hope you all enjoy watching 👍
