I am testing different approaches and plugins for Unreal Engine, to set up a fully procedural conversational system with NPCs. This works with simply speaking into a microphone and then listening to the spoken answers by the NPC. Different aspects of the system are based on AI tools for speech recognition, language models, text-to-speech, and procedural lip sync animation.
