Chiharu Shiotas exhibition UNCERTAIN JOURNEY at Blain|Southern will raise themes of fate, uncertainty and belonging. The intricate woven networks of yarn in her work allude to the interior of the human body and the complex network of neural connections in the brain. The boats that the artist will include within the installation evoke ideas of uncertainty and the attempt to gain control over our own lives. Where we are headed, remains unclear.
