Say hello to BK’s newest cheetah cubs! After a month since our last visual of the new cheetah cubs, our monitoring team went up to check on the female cheetah and her new litter of 6 cubs! ⠀ One week ago, the monitoring team found the mom with only 4 cubs. The team, Jess & Leslie, said - “We thought she had lost two cubs, so we decided to check the old den site, and just by chance, Leslie heard a faint chirping. Sitting in the brush, he found one cub alive and well. We made the decision to try and reunite the young cub with its mother. Leslie picked up the cub by the scruff of the neck as the mother would and carried it to the area where the mother had last been seen with the litter of four. Expecting an aggressive charge from mum, Leslie placed the cub down on the ground.
