The opening sequence OF residue features a cue I have called “Nightshade”, after the name of the club in the story. We start the story on New Years Eve and scoring this sequence was fun. I played with live vocal treatments and a positive, upbeat vibe, but as we progressed through the show I needed to score the tension and the machiavellian nature of the plotting, which in turn took me into new musical territory.
