Cops rescue 402 children from alleged abuse at charity homes, 171 arrested

Police rescued 402 minors who are alleged to have been abused, including sexually in a large scale operation in two states codenamed 'Ops Global'. The minors, aged between one and 17-years-old were allegedly exploited at 20 welfare homes in Selangor, and Negeri Sembilan. A total of 171 suspects were also arrested in the operation. Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain said the children, all locals who had endured various forms of abuse including being sodomised, were rescued between 6am and 11am today.
