There are some great movies and TV series coming from the fine folks at DC this year! Subscribe to our channel: Do you worry there’s not enough comic-related screen time in store for 2019? Watch out Marvel: 2019 promises to be a year to remember, and in the comic book world, DC Comics’ characters will give their competition a run for its money. With a multitude of characters invading your TV screens and cinema projectors, there’s going to be an overload. While the DCEU doesn’t seem worried about oversaturating the market, it appears that DC thinks its only kryptonite is radio silence. Expect to see the heroic and anti-heroic debuts of the following:, SWAMP THING, DOOM PATROL, BATWOMAN, SHAZAM!, STARGIRL, YOUNG JUSTICE: OUTSIDERS. We’ll get standalone stories focused on Harley Quinn as well as the Joker’s origin story. An adaptation of the Batman: Hush storyline, an animated Wonder Woman: Bloodlines movie, and some more of that backstory series focusing on Superman’s relatives called Krypton. This will be followed by some legendary team-ups - including the animated Reign of the Supermen, Justice League Vs. The Fatal Five, Teen Titans Go! Vs. Teen Titans, a new version of the Watchmen, and Crisis on Infinite Earth-styled Flash and Arrow crossover. The results of that confrontation may combine the several different universes housing current and former TV superheroes into a single place. Plus, the returns of fan favorites: iZombie, Black Lightning, Legends of Tomorrow, Gotham, Preacher, Lucifer, and Supergirl. And hey, there’s also the mindblowing new Alfred-centric series in the works: Pennyworth. With all this content, it looks like we picked the right Earth on which to live.
