Techenie presents the twelfth episode of the Reka podcast, featuring a mix recorded by Ilya Kozlov aka Elijah, a DJ from Saint Petersburg. “I work beyond genre boundaries, but I love Psy-Trance, Dub Techno, Melodic House, Dubstep, Electro, and Chill Out the most. In the mid-2010s, I worked as a sound engineer at the Griboedov club in Saint Petersburg and started DJing in Crimea in 2018. Currently, I participate in local non-commercial festivals and parties in Saint Petersburg as a DJ and occasionally as a sound technician. I focus on the melodic aspect of music. I dream of expanding the geography of my performances and would be happy to collaborate. My acquaintance with Dub Techno began with the Basic Channel label and the Dublicator project. I truly started working in this genre in 2023 when I met Daniel DJ Sideways and recorded a guest mix for his YouTube channel. I am particularly fond of the works of Radio Badjay, Francesco Tamburrano, and Seabra Monkey. The releases from the Techenie label have been a real discovery for me, and I enjoy playing this music“.
