This new video will take us from Amiens, in the prefecture of the Somme, to Calais, in Pas-de-Calais, via Boulogne-sur-mer, along the Bay of Somme and the Opal coast (Côte d'Opale) aboard the legendary Venice Simplon Orient Express, pulled on this last part of the journey by two valiant BB67400 diesels. The beauty of the landscapes we'll be crossing (which is a first on the channel, and on YouTube) will allow you to admire the richness of what northern France has to offer, all lulled by the sound of the Pielstick engine, which doesn't have an easy job pulling the heavy luxurious consist. As a bonus, at the end of the video, we continue with the locomotives towards the old Calais-Maritime station, for the head to tail manoeuvre. We wish you a great trip! Feel free to leave a comment!
