Scientist observed this Graneledone octopus on the seafloor during the Lophelia II 2009 Expedition. Graneledones are a widely distributed genus of octopuses in the family Octopodidae. They are found in the Pacific and Atlantic and are also typically discovered in deep waters, around 2,000 meters (6,500 feet) depth.
