Lindisfarne was a band from Newcastle upon Tyne, England, which had several hits, especially in the early 1970s. With the death of Alan Hull in 1995, the band came to an end. The band played a cheerful variant of folk rock, interspersed with the occasional melancholy. They were especially popular in England and Germany. Released in nine countries on three record labels, it reached position 22 on the UK album charts. ’Run For Home’ reached no. 22 in the Dutch Top 40 in August 1978.
