During a conference in Stockholm, Sweden, in September 2023, journalist Taylor Hudak briefly speaks about the European Media Freedom Act (EMFA). The EMFA is a new media regulation, proposed in 2022, which seeks to centralize the EU media sector into a single market to be overseen by a newly established European Board for Media Services. This media panel was moderated by Sonja Elijah and included contributions from Mike Robinson, James Patrick, Marco Ricca and Andrija Klaric. Since this presentation, the EMFA passed the EU Parliament in March 2024 and will be in full effect by August 2025.
