Joint NATO military exercises took place in Adazi, just outside Riga on Wednesday, one of the many operations being performed as part of the two-week-long Silver Arrow-2016 drills. Some 3,000 soldiers from Lithuania, Estonia, the US, Germany, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands are taking part in the exercises alongside Latvia's armed forces in a bid to strengthen joint offensive and defensive operations.
