Welcome back, Today we will focus on the oldest known photographs of the Great Wall of China which I could locate. We will also discuss the ancient history of the wall as it is provided to us today. We will discuss the First Emperor of China, who united the kingdom against the Northern Tribes. We will discuss the Huns, and how they influenced early cultures. We will then discuss the Ming Dynasty, which drove the Mongolian Empire from China, and then reconstructed The Great Wall of China… in red brick and fine masonry. We will look at some ancient accounts of confused Europeans who seemingly did not know the wall existed, as well as ties between the ancient wall and legends of Alexander the Great, Gog and Magog.
