About Saidas Saida means literally „exit”. As the social dancing i.e. the dancing in couple uses three lanes of dancing, exiting means literally that one of the dancers in couple exits the middle lane to the right or left lane. From this perspective, „saida” means actually a single step, that which changes lanes. Traditionally, in order to be considered „saida” and to create the beautiful effect of dissociation, this exiting step has to be a crossed step and not an open step. In Kizomba, the term „saida” was extended to an entire dance pattern of begginers level and it contains not only the exit but also the return in front of the partner to which an extra step for marking the beat is added on spot.
