Originality is that which is capable of distinguishing any creator against the background of gray mass. Originality is what can give a big push to the artist on his way to the top. Originality is “Journey“ by Rastaveli MC. 📃 While listening to Rastaveli’s music, a strange impression is created: with your head you understand that you are listening to reggae or dancehall, but at the same time you catch yourself thinking that you haven’t heard it yet. We are used to the fact that most modern reggae singers have a very low voice, but Rastaveli has an order of magnitude higher, which makes him stand out from the rest. This is very clearly seen on his joint tracks with Rider Shafique, which has a more typical style for the genre. “Journey“ is very difficult to describe in one genre. Nevertheless, all the tracks sound easy and carefree, so changing the tempo of the songs is not annoying at all. Perhaps this is facilitated by the fact that most of the tracks were produced by the performer himself (LAN$ is the second pseudonym of Rastaveli MC). Another interesting fact is that Rastaveli does not hide its Russian origin at all, which is often characteristic of English-speaking Russian performers. Moreover, in the tracks “Talk Talk“ and “Everything Criss“ Russian words and phrases now and then slip through, organically intertwined with the language of shavers. It is impossible not to notice the Soviet inserts at the beginning of some compositions. Plus, a unique style and stunning accent contribute to the best immersion of the listener in the material. The album is certainly recommended for listening in a relaxed atmosphere somewhere on the seafront and with a bush of sativa on hand. При прослушивании музыки Артема создается странное впечатление: головой ты понимаешь, что слушаешь рэгги или дэнсхолл, но в то же время ловишь себя на мысли, что такого ты еще не слышал. Мы привыкли, что у большинства современных рэгги-исполнителей очень низкий голос, но у Rastaveli он на порядок выше, что и выделяет его на фоне остальных. Это очень хорошо видно на его совместных треках с Rider Shafique, который имеет более типичную для жанра манеру. “Путешествие“ очень сложно охарактеризовать одним жанром. Тем не менее все треки звучат легко и беззаботно, поэтому смена темпа песен совсем не напрягает. Возможно, этому способствует и тот факт, что большинство треков были спродюсированы самим исполнителем (LAN$ - второй псевдоним Rastaveli MC). Интересен и тот факт, что Rastaveli совершенно не скрывает своего российского происхождения, что часто характерно для англоязычных отечественных исполнителей. Более того, в треках “Talk Talk“ и “Everything Criss“ то и дело проскальзывают русские слова и выражения, органично переплетаясь с языком бритов. Нельзя не заметить и советские вставки в начале некоторых композиций. Плюс уникальная манера и потрясающий акцент способствуют наилучшему погружению слушателя в материал. Альбом безусловно рекомендуется к прослушиванию в спокойной обстановке где-нибудь на берегу моря и с кустом сативы под рукой. Летний вечер - идеальное время для “Путешествия“!
