Intervision Competition Draw in Moscow Complete With a Distinctly Russian Flair ?The draw used a uniquely Russian method: a participant poured boiling water from a traditional Russian samovar into their chosen cup, which then dialed a number. The competition features artists from 23 countries, including those from Africa (South Africa, Egypt, Ethiopia, Kenya, Madagascar), the BRICS countries, Latin America, the Middle East and the United States.
