Johannes Brecht returns to Diynamic with a three track EP titled „Believer“. The title track is a melancholic collaboration with singer Ben Westbeech. One-take mono-recorded drums on an original 808 create the most organic feel (you might notice the tempo slightly varying in places). The warm bass line and string and piano elements are complementing the cold realizations of Ben's words. A minimalistic arrangement that focusses on the quality of its ingredients and mastery of implementation technique, much like traditional Italian cuisine whose reduction to the essentials gives it its power. This is followed by a club version of „Believer“ with added drive and energy, but without sacrificing any of the original's sincerity. And as B-side comes „Arp Piano“ that is the result of a self-built digital instrument, where Johannes Brecht manually sampled each note of his studio piano and through the input of simple commands creates arpeggiated staccato melodies.
