The Norwegian Rally Championship in 2008 saw one of the hardest battles ever between Mads Østberg and Andreas Mikkelsen for the title win but there was drama at the final round when Mikkelsen’s team miss read the rules and believed a third place would be enough if they ended on equal points since he won the penultimate round, but Østberg’s win at the final round put him at the top of the championship in the end.
