Soviet Union, 1991 Donate & Support: Uncompromising manifesto against the communist ideology and its carriers, composed on the eve of the collapse of the Soviet Union. The author of the song, Igor' Tal'kov, denounces Soviet society and castigates its way of thinking, imposed from above. At the same time, he does not distance himself from his people and blames the authorities for turning the free Russians into a crowd of “stamped Homines Sovietici”. The song became a kind of anthem of the right anti-Soviet-minded youth, competing with Viktor Tsoj's more left-liberal hits “Changes!“ (“Peremen!“) and “We will act next“ (“Dal'she dejstvovat' budem my“).
