Adding small details in Substance Painter instead of Zbrush

Here is a brief demonstration of my method for adding small to medium-sized details, patterns, etc. in Substance Painter. I use regular Fill layers for height and assign a detail texture as a mask. This is the first step I take before delving into color work. The advantages of this approach include: - Ease of control and modifyication: When you add small details on a high-poly model, they can become blurred after baking due to texture resolution limitations. You may have to keep them as they are or re-sculpt them to be larger. Using Substance Painter for this provides you with the flexibility to adjust the detail size on the fly, ensuring it complements your chosen texture size. It's very important to see the final result as soon as possible. - Elimination of the need for an excessively high-poly model in ZBrush.
