With the WWF attracting a wider age demographic during the early 90s, WCW felt they had to begin appealing to a more youthful audience. The WWF had characters such as Hulk Hogan and The Ultimate Warrior; larger than life characters who looked like they were ripped straight from a comic book. WCW, in many ways, had appealed to an older demographic during the 80s with a more “no nonsense“ style of professional wrestling. At Captial Combat 1990 however, WCW would get a little whacky when RoboCop made an appearance. Yes, RoboCop in WCW. Sting had joined the Four Horsemen in late 1989 but when the Stinger wouldn't give up his title shot against Ric Flair, he was ejected from the group. Sting also suffered an injury that would keep him on the shelf for a little while.. so backup was needed. A few phone calls from the heads of Turner Entertainment resulted in RoboCop coming to save Sting at the Captial Combat show. This video covers RoboCop's appearance on this WCW PPV event. #WCW #Wrestling #RoboCop
