An accurate version of Rod Stewart's all-time classic including intro and simplified solo (unanimous, no string-bending). I slowed down the tempo a bit (original: 64 bpm), and - beside the original fingerstyle pattern - added a strumming guitar pattern. Have fun! SAILING was written and first recorded by Gavin Sutherland with his Duo SUTHERLAND BROTHERS in 1972. The meaning of the lyrics he explains as followed: “Most people take the song to be about a young guy telling his girl that he's crossing the Atlantic to be with her.
