At the start of the 2000's, Hey Arnold was not only preparing the rest of its production, but planning for the jump to the big screen with Nickelodeon. Not only that, but Craig Bartlett, the creator of Hey Arnold was also putting together a more adult spin-off show for Hey Arnold that wouldn't be on regular Nickelodeon, but something more so like Nick At Nite and MTV. But with only rumors of what this all could be and some knowledge of the idea thanks to interviews from a couple decades ago, we didn't have actual proof of what this spin-off, The Pataki's, could actually be. Well, we eventually would get that proof with a pitch deck that featured a breakdown of The Pataki's filled with illustrations from Craig himself... so to fully confirm this and know more about what happened, I called up Hey Arnold creator Craig Bartlett to discuss it all. Check out my 7 and a half hour retrospective of Hey Arnold featuring more of Craig: Written By: Jordan Fringe Edited By: Jordan Fringe Channel Art By: Jerry Meehan
