I have been wanting to do a comparison between the two for a VERY long time!! They both are very agile mezzo sopranos with a wide range. Beyonce's voice is more strong and fierce. Aaliyah's voice is more subtle but can get really fierce at times too. They both cover 3 octaves and 5 notes. Beyonce : A2-E6 Aaliyah : G2-D6 And note .. Aaliyah died at the age of 22 . So most of the vocals are from when she was a teen , compared to beyonce now.. Either way , this is a fierce battle and competition. P.S.
