Follow ► The inspiration behind this video: Jackson's former SHIELD director will not have the help of his superhero pals, as Secret Invasion does not feature the Avengers. In that aspect, the Disney series differs greatly from the original Marvel Comics event that names the show. In the Secret Invasion comics, the main selling point of the story was the fact that any Marvel hero could be revealed to be a Skrull. The aliens had been replacing many superheroes over the years, leading to big reveals during the event. With only Rhodey returning of the MCU's costumed heroes, Secret Invasion could throw a major curveball and reveal that he was replaced by a Skrull at some point. Smulders' Maria Hill is also a prime candidate to be revealed to be a Skrull, with her being Fury's most trusted ally making for a possible major twist for the series and its lead character. Another MCU character that has good chances of being revealed to be a Skrull is Dermot Mulroney's Ritson, who debuts as the President of the United States. It is known that Harrison Ford's Thunderbolt Ross will be holding Ritson's job in Captain America: New World Order, so Secret Invasion revealing the President of the United States to be a Skrull would certainly vacate the position.
