Orphan flying-fox season is fast approaching and during the summer months, it’s not uncommon to find babies all alone and in all sorts of places. They can be found on the ground, hanging on over head power lines, alone in trees and on fences, trapped in large aperture anti bird netting and even in vehicle wheel hubs. If you hear a persistent bleating like the one in the video, please investigate and if required, call your local wildlife rescue organisation and a volunteer will be sent to safely and humanely rescue the baby.
