I am very proud to unveil the full length album from Syrian two piece band Araduous. Hymns of a Lost Past towers with an imposing presence over the bands three-track demo, Sorrow, from 2022. The intervening years have honed, enhanced and intensified their post-black atmospherics into a roiling churning maelstrom of elemental rhythms and coruscating riffs. Right from the opening this album doesn’t relent, with even the lighter passages of airier ambience carry a momentum from one thunderstorm to the next. Fans of widescreen atmospherics like Trna, Olhava, Vukari, with a melanchological feel to them take note.
