PEEK Film - Strong plastic with very high thermal stability This film is made from polyetheretherketone (PEEK) which is one of the highest-performing thermoplastics. It has a high toughness and strength (Young’s modulus of 3.6 GPa), excellent temperature performance (up to 240°C in continuous use), excellent wear properties, and very high chemical resistance. Used for: It is used for diaphragms for speakers and microphones that can withstand the high temperatures used for surface-mounting electronics. It is also used for nametags on surgery equipment that can withstand repeated heat sterilisation. The film is metalised with an antenna pattern to form flexible thin film antennas. Details: PEEK film can be thermoformed, welded, bonded, metalised, or laminated with other materials. The vendor can tailor film properties to specific applications.
