I Tried to Make an 8 Voice Heterophony Vocal Arrangement in 8 Minutes

I tried to make an Ingrian style 8 voice heterophony vocal arrangement in 8 minutes! Watch to see how it went! I wanted to challenge myself to make a full vocal arrangement as quickly as possible. Everything on the video (except for the melody) is improvised in the moment. I used a traditional runolaulu melody and lyrics from Soikkola village in Ingria. About me: I’m a Finnish singer, composer and fiddler specialized in Finno-Ugric folk music. My expertise is in traditional singing traditions and techniques such as Finnish (and Swedish) herding calls, Ingrian heterophonic chorus runolaulu and Viena Karelian yoik.
