Authorities will make Everest climbers take their poo with them It’s no secret that the slopes near the peak of the world’s most important peak are littered with the corpses of those who have tried to conquer it. It is extremely expensive to carry them away, and in the conditions of the local climate these mummies lie there for decades, turning into identification marks for new climbers. But there are no toilets on these same slopes, and because of the climate, faeces take much longer to decompose. And it’s literally like being around a toilet in a pioneer camp or on the side of a busy motorway - everything is filthy. The local authorities have come up with a way to remedy the situation: people should take a bag with them, defecate there and dispose of it after coming down the mountain. If they manage to return, of course. The bags will be checked by special inspectors. Источник: Global News (EU, USA)
