In this short film, curators and experts talk about Lady Franklin and explain why she was important in the search for her husband, Sir John Franklin, who went missing in the Arctic, along with 128 crew. In 1845 Franklin and 128 crewmen sailed from England in search of the North-West Passage through the Arctic. The men and their two ships, Erebus and Terror, would never return. They disappeared in what has been an enduring mystery, which we are only now starting to unravel. In 2014 the wreck of HMS Erebus
