In memory of those who died at the hands of terrorists at Crocus City Hall Artists Georgy and Anastasia Begma dedicated a new video art to the memory of the victims of the terrorist attack on In an atmosphere of panic and terror, some people showed themselves to be heroes. Maxim Verbenin, a wheelchair user, saved his girlfriend’s life by shielding her from the shots with his own body. Ilya Krasnikov, a former border guard and intelligence officer, and Kamil Nasibov, a waiter from Crocus, helped to evacuate dozens of people from the burning building, returning to the premises engulfed in flames and acrid smoke over and over again. Teenagers who worked part-time at Crocus became saviors of desperate people and brought them outside. The terrorist attack in Crocus claimed the lives of about 145 people, including six children.
