This track is featured on Pink Floyd's album “The Wall“ (1979). The entire theme is based on the dreaded “Kristallnacht“ (Night of Broken Glass, translated from German) on November 9th, 1938 which came during Hitler's order of terror. Nazis raided Jewish businesses and synagogues, places of recreation, even homes – throwing people out, destroying what they could. Throughout his career Roger Waters has always been extremely outspoken against all forms of imperialism, fascism and totalitarianism. Therefore it is nothing but ridiculous that Roger has been accused of anti-Semitism by the “International Auschwitz Committee“.
