Blue Origin's Jeff Bezos launch on New Shepard 11-minute trip to the edge of space. Taking place at Blue Origin’s Launch Site One, described as a remote location in the West Texas desert. It’s around 25 miles north of the town of Van Horn, and around 120 miles southeast of El Paso – close to the Mexican border. Blue Origin says that the Texas Department of Transportation will be closing a portion of State Highway 54 adjacent to the launch site. And spectators won’t be allowed on the closed portion of the road during launch. In fact, Blue Origin has made a point of keeping the exact location of the site very secret. Launch Site One isn’t advertised by signs to the public, and the best road to view Blue Origin launches from – Highway 54 – is closed this time around. The location has a launch site and a landing site, separated by a hefty chunk of desert and a single roadway. Bezos’ July 20 launch livestream will kick off at local time and UK time.
