Mennonites in Belize | Independence Day

#belize #mennonites Schools across the country celebrate Independence Day one or two days before the actual holiday which is Sept. 21. This is a parade held at Jireh Fundamental Education, a modern but private school in Spanish Lookout owned and managed by non-traditional Mennonites. Conservative private Mennonite schools do not celebrate Independence Day. Some of them keep the holiday but do not allow festivities.
