Manfred Mann Chapter III - Mother (aka Travelling Lady single mono version) Manfred Mann Chapter Three was a British experimental jazz rock band founded by South African keyboard player Manfred Mann. The lineup for its debut, at Newcastle's Mayfair Ballroom on October 24, 1969, consisted of Mann (organ), Mike Hugg (electric piano), Clive Stevens (tenor sax), Bernie Living (alto sax), Steve York (bass), Gerald Drewett (trombone), Craig Collinge (drums), Carl Griffiths (tenor sax), Dave Coxhill (baritone sax) and Sonny Corbett (trumpet). The band was short-lived and disbanded after two albums. Mann went on to form Manfred Mann's Earth Band in 1971. Released in November 1969, Manfred Mann Chapter Three was Vertigo's third album release. Mike Hugg was the vocalist, pianist and principal song writer with Manfred playing organ and arranging the album's contents.
