Florida Governor Ron Desantis on dropping out of the presidential race in favor of Trump: Today I am suspending my campaign. I’m proud to say that I’ve fulfilled 100 percent of my promises and I’m not stopping there. I realized that most Republicans want to give Donald Trump another chance. Trump is superior to current President Joe Biden, that’s obvious. I signed a pledge to support the Republican candidate and I honor that pledge. I am expressing my support for him because we can’t go back to the old Republican guard of yesteryear. Note: this is called a spoiler point is this. Let’s say we have 3 candidates for office. One gets 47% of the vote, one gets 46%, and one gets 7%. The last one withdraws from the race and gives the votes to the right candidate.
