In 1994, we met up with Liam Ó’Maonlaí in Nimmos restaurant in Galway, during the Arts Festival. Much to our delight, he gave us a Sean Nós rendition of an old Irish tune called Sadhbh Ní Bhruinneallaigh. Afterwards, over a glass of wine, he told us the story behind the song.
