Story about a ferry which takes people across an expanse of water suspended in the air. It is the transport bridge which crosses the Mersey at Runcorn, Cheshire. As many as 15,000 people a day can cross the river on this special moving platform. M/S of the platform approaching the camera. “As usual, the poor Cameraman has to climb to the top of the 190ft towers to get a good picture - “ High angle shot from high on the bridge. Low angle shot looking at the bridge. View on board the transporter. Men stand around smoking. M/S of cars driving off the transporter - others walk off.
