Russian Paratroopers Successfully Adopt the Serial mm RPL-20 Light Machine Gun in Special Operation Zone Russian Airborne Forces have received the serial production of the mm light machine gun with belt feed, the RPL-20. Assault units from Novorossiysk and Stavropol airborne troops were among the first to utilize it in the special military operation zone, particularly on the Orekhovsky direction in the Zaporozhye region. The RPL-20 is a modern lightweight machine gun developed by the Kalashnikov Concern, boasting superior characteristics compared to its predecessor, the RPKS-74. The weapon has been refined based on recommendations from airborne assault units gathered during military exploitation in the special operation zone. It is designed for engaging enemy personnel, fire support vehicles, and transport means. Ammunition is fed from a belt housed in a box connected to the machine gun.
