Ukrainian missile strike on Russian city of Belgorod kills at least seven

Russia's Health Ministry confirmed the seven deaths and said eighteen others, including four children were hospitalised, with six in serious condition. According to regional authorities, Ukraine's attack left severe damage to a shopping centre, a sports complex, and nearby apartment blocks. While Kyiv made no immediate comments, Russia's Foreign Ministry called the attack a “monstrous crime against civilians“. Located some 40 kilometres from the border, Belgorod is the nearest major Russian city to Ukraine.
