The origin of Táaxʼaa (mosquito), as told by Shaadaaxʼ (Robert Zuboff, Ḵakweidí). Recorded, transcribed, and translated by Ḵeixwnéi (Nora Dauenhauer, Lukaax̱.ádi) & Xwaayeenáḵ (Richard Dauenhauer, Chookaneidí). Zuboff was a master orator, and this story is told by the Ḵakweidí, and is told today by Ḵaakáakw (Cyril George, Ḵakweidí). The crest of the táaxʼaa (mosquito) and ḵuasax̱aḵwáan (cannibal) belong to the G̱aanax̱teidí.
