The dancer in this clip is Nagwa Fouad and the scene is from the 1963 Egyptian movie ‘Gawaz fi Khatar’ (Marriage in Danger جواز فى خطر). The movie starred Ahmed Ramzy as Ahmed and Nadia Lotfy. Ahmed’s family is poor while Samira’s family is very wealthy. Ahmed and Samira want to get married but Samira’s family objects to Ahmed’s working class background. Nagwa Fouad plays a bellydancer who’s infatuated with Ahmed and uses every opportunity to make him fall in love with her. Abdelmonem Ibrahim, who was a well known Egyptian comic actor, also stars in the film, he’s the man in this clip who’s sitting with Ahmed at a table at the nightclub. Also starring was veteran Egyptian comedienne Zeinat Sedki.
