As North Korean leader Kim Jong Un arrived in Russia on Tuesday (September 12) for talks with President Vladimir Putin, U.N. Security Council members traded barbs on arms supplies to Ukraine. U.N. Ambassadors of Britain and U.S. blamed Russia on negotiating potential deals for significant quantities and multiple types of munitions from the DPRK to be used against Ukraine. Russia for its part criticized the United States for supplying cluster munitions to Ukraine. It is Kim's second summit with Putin, whom he met in 2019 on his last trip abroad. Pyongyang and Moscow have denied that North Korea could supply arms to Russia, which has expended vast stocks in more than 18 months of war. Meanwhile, the Biden Administration plans to approve the shipment of longer-range missiles packed with cluster bombs to Ukraine. It will give Kyiv the ability to cause deeper damage within Russian-occupied territory, according to U.S. officials. __________________ ShanghaiEye focuses on producing top-quality contents.
