Homes in Utah were engulfed in tumble weed as high winds blew through parts of the US state. The western part of the country has been hit by blizzards in recent days. Wind has taken down trees and some neighbourhoods have been invaded by tumbleweed. Officials have issued a wind advisory for Nevada, Northwestern Arizona, and California’s Death Valley. Towns along the California-Nevada border were hit with heavy snow. The blizzards have closed a major highway into Nevada.
