8A was steamed up to run a test train for the Signals Branch on the Cripple Creek Tramway, a Victorian narrow gauge styled 45mm line. They had newly installed in section upper quadrant signals and the recent wet conditions produced conditions that would provide ideal wet day testing for correct operation of the track circuits. Typically they left the location open to upset the video! I think the driver was in a hurry to get home. The Cripple Creek Tramway is in the Blue Mountains, NSW.
