Homelessness reached a peak in 2019, when the numbers of homeless households jumped from 207,600 in 2018 to over 219,000 at the end of 2019. By the end of 2021, 227,000 households across Britain were experiencing core homelessness. In London, over 57,000 households were homeless or at risk of homelessness last year.
