Palestinians held Friday prayers on December 1 in the street overlooking Al-Aqsa compound due to heavy restrictions set by the Israeli police since the Oct. 7 attack. Israeli forces tightened security for Palestinians hoping to pray in Al Aqsa, making it hard for many to get into the compound, the third-holiest site in Islam after Mecca and Medina.
